Belize elected to ICAO Council

By Belize Live News Staff: Belize has been elected to serve on the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

According to Cabinet, the election took place on September 30, 2024, during the ICAO Assembly in Montreal, Canada. Belize is one of 36 countries out of ICAO’s 193 member states selected to serve on the Council for a three-year term.

Belize will be represented on the Council by Kennedy Carrillo, former Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of the Blue Economy and Civil Aviation.
