Cabinet to act once full Budna report is submitted

By Belize Live News Staff:  Prime Minister John Briceño has confirmed receipt of the Police Department’s preliminary investigative report on the Budna case from Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa. The report was deemed incomplete, prompting immediate actions by the government.

Dr. Richard Rosado was placed on temporary leave, and Police Officer Barrington Flowers suspended. Deputy Commissioner Suzette Anderson has now been assigned to lead the investigation, with a full report expected by the end of September.

The Prime Minister stressed that today’s measures are necessary to uphold the rule of law and preserve the reputation of the Police Department. He further stated that once the complete Budna report is submitted, Cabinet will review its findings and act swiftly on the recommendations.

Officials say the public will be kept informed as the process moves forward
