By Belize Live News Staff: Thursday’s morning forecast points to fair weather persisting across most of the country. According to the Belize Met Service, skies will be mostly sunny with some cloudy intervals during the day and partly cloudy tonight. Isolated showers or thunderstorms may develop, with a higher chance of activity over southern Belize this evening.
Mariners are advised of light sea conditions with winds from the east-southeast between 5 and 15 knots. Waves are forecast to be between two and four feet.
Daytime temperatures are expected to remain hot, especially inland where highs may reach 95°F (35°C). Along the coast, highs will be near 90°F (32°C), while cooler readings of around 84°F (29°C) are expected over the hills. Nighttime lows will range from 84°F (29°C) on the coast, 74°F (23°C) inland, and 68°F (20°C) in the hills.
Tide information shows a high tide at 7:01 a.m., a low tide at 2:39 p.m., followed by another high tide at 8:38 p.m. The next low tide will occur tomorrow morning at 1:34 a.m. The sun set is scheduled for 6:03 p.m.
Meanwhile, in the tropical Atlantic, a wave continues to move westward with potential for further development. The system could become a tropical depression later this week, though it currently poses no direct threat to Belize.
Forecasters say similar fair weather conditions are expected to continue into Friday.
