By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect somewhat moist and unstable conditions lingering across the country today, according to the National Meteorological Service. Skies will be cloudy at times with showers or thunderstorms generally isolated, though a few more are expected over southern areas this morning and again later tonight.
Winds will remain light and variable while seas are slight with waves of one to three feet. Temperatures will reach highs of 88°F on the coast, 92°F inland, and 82°F in the hills, with overnight lows of 79°F, 73°F, and 68°F respectively.
Looking ahead to Saturday, cloudy skies will bring a few showers and isolated thunderstorms around the country in the morning. By evening, shower activity is expected to decrease and become isolated, except for a few more over the south.
Today’s tides are low at 8:26 a.m., high at 2:05 p.m., and low again at 7:33 p.m. The next high tide will occur at 1:37 a.m. tomorrow. Sunrise was at 5:38 this morning with sunset at 6:08 this evening. Moonrise is at 10:52 a.m. and moonset at 10:11 p.m. No tropical cyclone development is expected in the North Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours.
