By Belize Live News Staff: Prime Minister John Briceño will meet with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Guatemalan President Bernardo Arévalo on Friday for trilateral talks in Calakmul, Mexico.
Sheinbaum said the meeting will follow a morning briefing in Chetumal and a brief stop in Guatemala at Arévalo’s invitation. While she did not reveal all agenda details, she noted the leaders share “many agreements” and enjoy strong relationships along their southern borders.
The Prime Minister will also hold a separate bilateral meeting with Mexico, with topics expected to include cross-border infrastructure, the Tren Maya project, and environmental cooperation in the Mayan Biosphere Reserve.
