By Belize Live News Staff: Mainly fair weather continues to dominate across Belize today, offering mostly sunny skies and warm conditions.
The forecast calls for sunny weather with a few cloudy spells through the day, while tonight will see cloudy skies at times. Showers or thunderstorms will be generally isolated, although southern districts may experience a few more showers or thunderstorms during the night.
Winds are from the east at 10 to 15 knots, producing choppy seas with wave heights between 3 and 5 feet. Coastal temperatures will peak around 89°F (32°C) and dip to 82°F (28°C) tonight.
Inland areas can expect highs near 94°F (33°C) and lows of 75°F (24°C), while the hills remain cooler with highs of 81°F (27°C) and lows around 68°F (20°C).
In the tropical weather outlook, forecasters are monitoring an area of low pressure just west of the Cabo Verde Islands. Moving west-northwestward, this system has a high chance of becoming a tropical depression within the next 48 hours.
The outlook for Tuesday indicates a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will affect the country, increasing Tuesday night. High tide today is at 11:11 a.m., followed by a low tide at 5:54 p.m.
The next high tide is at 11:50 p.m., with a low tide early tomorrow at 5:56 a.m. Sunrise today was at 5:34 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:20 p.m.
The moon set this morning at 7:40 a.m. and will rise again at 8:13 p.m.
