Cloudy skies, passing showers mark Sunday’s forecast for Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect a mix of clouds and sunshine today, with passing showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially during the morning hours. The forecast comes as a moderate easterly airflow continues to bring moisture across the region.

Forecaster Catherine Cumberbatch reports that rainfall will decrease in the afternoon, with most areas seeing only isolated showers. Southern Belize may experience more activity tonight under partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

Marine conditions remain stable, with easterly winds at 10 to 20 knots and wave heights of 4 to 6 feet. Temperatures today are expected to be warm, with highs reaching 88°F inland, 86°F along the coast, and cooler conditions in higher elevations.

The tropical weather outlook continues to show no threat of cyclone formation in the Atlantic within the next 48 hours.

Looking ahead, the forecast for Monday calls for similar conditions, with isolated showers countrywide and slightly more in the southern districts during early morning and nighttime hours.
