By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a murder that has left the Spanish Lookout community in shock. The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Claritza Rosalee Granillo Rodriguez.
According to reports, officers responded to a call around 9:37 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16. When they arrived, they discovered Claritza’s lifeless body lying on a veranda with multiple stab wounds.
Preliminary investigations indicate that an argument broke out among individuals living in the same residence. During the confrontation, Claritza was allegedly stabbed by her brother-in-law. She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have since detained a suspect, and investigations are ongoing.
