Trump says Coca-Cola will use cane sugar in US drinks

By Belize Live News Staff: United States President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that Coca-Cola has agreed to switch to real cane sugar in its American products following discussions he claims to have had with the beverage giant.

Trump made the statement on his Truth Social platform, writing, “I have been speaking to Coca-Cola about using REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they have agreed to do so. I’d like to thank all of those in authority at Coca-Cola. This will be a very good move by them — You’ll see. It’s just better!”

Despite the announcement, shares of Coca-Cola and its rival PepsiCo remained steady during post-market trading hours. Trump did not offer any further details about the timeline for the change or whether any formal agreement or statement had been issued by the company.

Coca-Cola has not released an official confirmation or comment regarding the claim as of this publication.
