By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect mostly fair skies throughout the day today, with brief intervals of cloudiness and isolated showers, particularly in southern parts of the country. The general weather pattern remains stable, supported by easterly winds ranging between 10 to 20 knots and occasionally gusty, contributing to moderate to rough sea conditions.
The National Meteorological Service issued a small craft caution, advising operators of small vessels to navigate carefully due to locally rough seas. Wave heights are expected to reach between 4 and 7 feet across coastal waters.
Temperatures are forecast to climb under the partly sunny skies. Inland areas will feel the heat most, with highs reaching 93°F (34°C), while coastal areas are expected to peak at around 89°F (32°C). Meanwhile, hill regions will be comparatively cooler with a high of 79°F (26°C).
Tonight’s weather will remain partly cloudy with only isolated showers expected. Marine interests should stay alert as conditions remain gusty, especially near heavier showers or thunderstorms that may develop over the south.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, forecasters anticipate continued mainly fair weather with isolated showers across the country.
No tropical cyclone activity is expected over the next 48 hours within the North Atlantic Basin, including the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico.
