By Belize Live News Staff: A tropical wave moving across the region is bringing cloudy spells, scattered showers, and isolated thunderstorms, particularly across southern and central Belize this morning and again tonight.
According to the National Meteorological Service, the wave is expected to influence weather conditions throughout today, with rainfall activity shifting toward central and northern areas this afternoon. Thunderstorm activity is most likely in inland and southern communities.
Winds from the east are blowing at 10–20 knots, producing moderate sea conditions with wave heights of 4 to 6 feet. Temperatures remain warm with inland highs reaching 91°F, and slightly cooler conditions along the coast and in the hills.
While no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the next 48 hours, the system underscores the need to remain vigilant during the Atlantic hurricane season.
