By Belize Live News Staff: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) has announced that the Hawkesworth Bridge will be closed to the public today, Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The temporary closure is necessary to safely remove bees from the area and ensure public safety during the process. Residents and commuters are asked to use the New Macal Bridge as an alternative route during the scheduled maintenance.
The MIDH apologizes for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their cooperation and understanding.
