By Belize Live News Staff: One of Belize’s most trusted chicken providers is hitting a major milestone. Quality Poultry Products is celebrating 50 years in business and will mark the occasion with a festive motorcade through Belize City this Saturday.
The anniversary celebration is more than a parade — it’s a show of gratitude to the thousands of Belizeans who have made Quality Poultry a household name. Manager Andre Selgado says the company is proud of its legacy and is using the opportunity to connect more deeply with customers.
“Every company that reaches 50 years normally just has one event,” said Selgado. “We wanted to make it more meaningful by hosting events in every district. Belize City’s celebration includes a motorcade taking the same route as the fire engine parade, which really brings it into the heart of the community.”
Selgado also pointed out that the motorcade helps shine a light on the logistics behind delivering fresh chicken to homes across Belize — from refrigerated trucks and boats to staff buses and distribution hubs.
“It’s not just about chicken on your plate,” Selgado said. “It’s about the people and systems that work every day to get it there. This is our way of showing that to the public.”
Although no free chicken will be handed out during the motorcade itself, each of the company’s 13 retail outlets will be offering exclusive deals during their own anniversary branch fairs, with discounts, giveaways, and tokens of appreciation.
Quality Poultry says their golden anniversary isn’t just about looking back — it’s about thanking the people who helped them grow and laying the groundwork for the next 50 years.
