By Belize Live News Staff: Alistair White has officially assumed the role of Acting High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in Belize, according to an announcement by the British High Commission in Belmopan.
White brings a wide range of diplomatic experience to the post, most recently serving as Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Manila. His assignment in Belize underscores the UK’s continued commitment to regional diplomacy and strengthening partnerships with Belize.
In its welcome message, the High Commission stated:
“We look forward to his leadership and engagement here in Belize.”
White is expected to focus on deepening cooperation between the UK and Belize in key areas including security, education, governance, and trade.
He will serve in the acting capacity until a permanent High Commissioner is appointed. His background in international affairs positions him well to advance ongoing diplomatic and development initiatives in the country.
