Blistering heat alert issued for Belize: Inland temps to hit 97°F

Belize bakes: Dry heat continues, with only South seeing rain

By Belize Live News Staff: The sun is out in full force this week across Belize, and it’s packing the heat.

According to forecaster Tareek Matthews, mainly fair and warm conditions will dominate both today and tomorrow, with sunny skies and only a slight chance of isolated showers. A Heat Alert has been issued due to inland temperatures expected to reach 97°F, especially during the early afternoon hours.

Belizeans are reminded to take precautions—drink water, wear lightweight clothing, and avoid excessive sun exposure.

Marine conditions remain stable, with gentle to moderate easterly winds and light chop expected. Waves will hover around 2 to 4 feet, making it an ideal day for early-morning beachgoers and fishermen, though hydration remains key.

Sunrise was at 5:24 AM and sunset is expected at 6:14 PM, with moonrise at 12:49 PM. The weather outlook for Tuesday mirrors today’s pattern—hot, dry, and quiet.

So whether you’re heading to work, the sea, or staying indoors, plan your day around the heat. Belize is baking—take care of yourself and your loved ones.
