By Belize Live News Staff: A murder investigation is underway in Punta Gorda following the discovery of a man’s body in the Indianville area earlier this morning. The body, found at around 9:00 AM behind a residence on Mahogany Street, showed signs of severe trauma, including multiple chop wounds to the neck and back.
Police officials confirmed that the victim, believed to be of Maya descent, was found in a bushy area, which suggests the possibility that he was attacked elsewhere before being left in this remote spot. At this time, police are unable to identify the man and are working tirelessly to gather information that could help reveal his identity.
