By Belize Live News Staff: An early morning incident involving a bus fire along the Phillip Goldson Highway near Fire Club has raised fresh concerns about vehicle safety on one of the country’s busiest commuter routes. The fire, which broke out just after 6:30 a.m., sent thick black smoke into the air, drawing the attention of passing motorists and onlookers.
While the exact circumstances remain unclear, video circulating online shows the rear of the bus engulfed in flames. Witnesses say traffic briefly slowed as people took in the alarming scene, but there have been no confirmed reports of injuries or passengers on board at the time of the fire.
Emergency responders were reportedly notified and quickly dispatched to the location. As of now, authorities have not issued an official cause of the fire, though speculation continues among those who were near the scene.
