By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating the discovery of a body found shortly before 6:00 p.m. in the Capital City of Belmopan.
The body was discovered by a passerby on the sidewalk in front of Angela Casey Preschool in Central Belmopan. Police were immediately alerted and responded to the scene.
The body has since been removed by authorities. At this time, it is unclear whether foul play is suspected. Investigators have not released the identity of the deceased or further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
An official police statement is expected as investigations continue.
