By Belize Live News Staff: Belize will enjoy mostly sunny skies with some cloudy spells today as marginally moist conditions continue to influence the weather. According to the Belize Meteorological Service, a few showers are expected, primarily affecting coastal areas, while the rest of the country remains largely dry.
Marine conditions are expected to be moderately choppy, with east-northeast winds blowing at 5-15 knots. Wave heights will range between 3 to 5 feet, making the seas suitable for most activities. However, small craft operators are encouraged to stay alert for any sudden changes in conditions.
Temperatures will be warm throughout the day, with coastal areas reaching highs of 84°F (29°C) and cooling to 76°F (24°C) at night. Inland regions will experience slightly higher temperatures, peaking at 86°F (30°C) during the day and dropping to 72°F (22°C) overnight. The hills will remain cooler, with daytime highs of 74°F (23°C) and nighttime lows of 65°F (18°C).
The outlook for Wednesday suggests generally isolated showers, with a slight increase in activity anticipated by Wednesday night. This pattern indicates that coastal and some inland areas may see slightly wetter conditions heading into the midweek.
Today’s tidal activity includes a high tide at 10:05 AM, a low tide at 2:52 PM, and another high tide at 9:12 PM. Tomorrow’s early low tide is forecast at 4:35 AM. Sunrise occurred at 6:25 AM, and sunset is expected at 5:45 PM. The moon will set at 5:07 PM today and rise again at 6:39 AM tomorrow.
Forecaster Ronald Gordon advises residents to prepare for brief showers along the coast while inland areas enjoy mostly fair conditions. Mariners are encouraged to exercise caution in choppy seas, while those inland can expect a warm and pleasant day overall.
