Moist weather brings showers and cloudy skies to Belize

Belize weather forecast: Moist and unstable conditions to bring showers and thunderstorms

By Belize Live News Staff: Belize will see another day of relatively moist weather today with cloudy spells and periods of rain expected in many areas. The Belize Meteorological Service predicts scattered showers, with the heaviest activity likely over coastal regions during the day and night. Other parts of the country may also see brief showers as the day progresses.

Marine conditions are moderate, with winds blowing from the east-northeast at 10-15 knots. Wave heights are forecasted between 4 and 6 feet. While conditions are safe for most marine activities, operators of smaller vessels should remain cautious and monitor the seas for any changes.

Temperatures across the country will remain warm. Coastal areas are forecast to reach highs of 82°F (28°C) and drop to 74°F (23°C) overnight. Inland regions will see slightly warmer highs of 84°F (29°C) and nighttime lows of 68°F (20°C). In the hills, temperatures will be cooler, ranging from 70°F (21°C) during the day to 60°F (16°C) at night.

The forecast for Tuesday and Tuesday night indicates a continuation of similar conditions, with occasional showers or light rain expected to persist, particularly along the coast.

Today’s tidal schedule includes a high tide at 9:32 AM, a low tide at 2:03 PM, and another high tide at 8:26 PM. Tomorrow’s early low tide is forecast for 4:00 AM. Sunrise was at 6:25 AM, with sunset set for 5:45 PM. The moon will set at 4:05 PM and rise again at 5:50 AM tomorrow.

Forecaster Francisca Wellington encourages residents to keep an umbrella handy, particularly in coastal areas, where rain is most likely to occur. Despite the wet conditions, temperatures remain comfortable, offering a mild atmosphere for the day.
