By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is experiencing a shift to fairer weather conditions today as moisture levels across the region continue to decrease. The Belize Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with occasional cloudy intervals throughout the day, while tonight will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Isolated showers are expected, with a higher chance of rainfall along central and southern coastal areas this afternoon and focusing on southern regions later tonight.
Marine conditions remain moderate, with northeast winds at 10-15 knots and wave heights between 4 and 6 feet. Small craft operators are encouraged to navigate with care in choppy seas.
Temperatures will be mild and consistent with the cooler seasonal trend. Coastal areas will see highs of 79°F (26°C) and lows of 73°F (23°C). Inland areas will peak at 81°F (27°C) during the day, cooling to 68°F (20°C) at night. In the hills, temperatures will range from a daytime high of 68°F (20°C) to a nighttime low of 61°F (16°C).
The outlook for Friday and Friday night suggests continued fair weather conditions, with only isolated showers expected as the region experiences further stabilization.
Tidal changes for today include a high tide at 7:01 AM, a low tide at 11:23 AM, and another high tide at 5:47 PM. Tomorrow morning’s low tide is forecast at 1:41 AM. Sunrise was at 6:25 AM, and sunset will be at 5:34 PM. The moon will rise at 1:37 PM today and set at 3:13 AM tomorrow.
Forecaster Tareek Matthews notes the improving conditions, advising residents to enjoy the mostly fair weather while remaining prepared for brief showers along the southern coast. Mariners should exercise caution due to moderate seas.
