By Belize Live News Staff: Police are working to determine the cause of a vehicle fire that destroyed a white Ford Fusion found on Belize River Valley Road early Friday morning.
Responding to the scene around 6:45 a.m., officers discovered the burned-out car on the shoulder of the road between Flowers Bank and Scotland Half Moon. The vehicle, which had been parked at the location since Thursday with a damaged rear tire and rim, was completely unrecognizable due to the extent of the fire.
No license plate or VIN number could be recovered, and no individual has come forward to claim ownership or report the incident. Police processed the scene and searched for evidence, but no clues to the fire’s origin have been found so far.
The investigation is ongoing. Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that might help identify the vehicle’s owner or shed light on the circumstances of the fire.
