Belize weather forecast: Fair skies with a chance of showers

A perfect day ahead: Clear skies and gentle breezes across the country

By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can look forward to mostly fair weather today, as reported by the Belize Meteorological Service. Sunny conditions will dominate, punctuated by occasional cloudy spells throughout the day. Tonight, skies will remain partly cloudy, with showers expected to be isolated. Offshore areas might see a slightly higher chance of rainfall activity.

Marine enthusiasts will find favorable conditions with light east-southeast winds blowing at 5-15 knots. The sea state will be characterized by a light chop, and wave heights will range from 2 to 4 feet, making it an ideal day for boating and fishing.

Temperatures will be warm and comfortable. Coastal areas can expect highs of 83°F (28°C) and nighttime lows of 77°F (25°C). Inland regions will reach a toasty 88°F (31°C) during the day, cooling to 72°F (22°C) at night. The hills will experience milder conditions, with daytime highs of 78°F (26°C) and lows dropping to 68°F (20°C).

As for the outlook, Sunday will start with partly cloudy skies that could turn cloudy at times. Isolated showers and thunderstorms may develop over inland areas during the afternoon, gradually spreading to coastal regions by nightfall. These conditions are expected to persist offshore overnight.

Tidal changes for today include high tides at 9:09 AM and 7:55 PM, with a low tide at 1:48 PM. Early risers on Sunday can anticipate a low tide at 3:37 AM. Sunrise is at 6:21 AM, and sunset will occur at 5:27 PM. The moon is set to rise tomorrow morning at 5:16 AM, following its set this afternoon at 3:28 PM.

The Belize Met Service, through forecaster Crystal Rosalez, reminds residents and visitors to monitor inland conditions on Sunday, as thunderstorms could intensify later in the day. For now, enjoy the fair weather and calm seas.
