By Belize Live News Staff: Sacred Heart College (SHC) is in mourning following the untimely death of Micah Contreras, a second-form student who tragically lost his life in a fatal accident in Unitedville, Cayo, on Thursday night.
Micah, described as cheerful and well-loved by classmates and teachers alike, was remembered by his school community this morning. Students gathered solemnly outside Micah’s 2B classroom, lighting candles in his memory.
The grief-stricken SHC community expressed their heartbreak over the loss of such a bright and beloved young life. In a gesture of solidarity and mourning, the school has canceled its Sports Day to allow students and faculty to reflect and grieve together.
“Micah will be deeply missed by all who knew him,” a statement from the school read, highlighting the lasting impact he made on his peers and teachers.
