By Belize Live News Staff: Fair and dry conditions will dominate Belize’s weather today, offering sunny skies during the day and partly cloudy skies tonight. Any showers that do occur will be isolated, making for an overall pleasant day. Light and variable winds are expected, creating slight sea conditions with wave heights of 1 to 3 feet.
Temperatures will peak at 88°F (31°C) along the coast, 92°F (33°C) inland, and 81°F (27°C) in the hills. Tonight will bring cooler conditions, with lows of 77°F (25°C) on the coast, 71°F (21°C) inland, and 67°F (19°C) in the hills.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Rafael remains active, located about 245 miles north-northeast of Progreso, Mexico, with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph. Moving west at 9 mph, Rafael poses no immediate threat to Belize, though residents should continue to monitor updates.
Today’s tide schedule includes a low at 9:39 a.m., a high at 4:17 p.m., another low at 8:31 p.m., and tomorrow’s high tide at 2:49 a.m. Sunrise was at 5:54 a.m., and sunset is at 5:18 p.m. The moon will rise at 12:05 p.m. and set at 11:34 p.m.
Fair and dry conditions are expected to continue through Saturday, making it a great start to the weekend.
