Man in critical condition following violent confrontation with brother-in-law in Hattieville

Man stabbed on Armadillo Street, listed in stable condition

By Belize Live News Staff: A violent confrontation in Hattieville has left a 24-year-old man hospitalized with serious injuries. Kenroy Lanza was reportedly stabbed during an altercation that erupted after he allegedly threatened his common-law wife following a night of socializing and drinking. The incident occurred after Lanza made a request for intimate relations, which was declined, sparking a heated dispute.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero, Lanza chased his partner into her mother’s house with a machete in hand. The woman reportedly alerted her brothers, who intervened, leading to a physical altercation that resulted in Lanza being stabbed. Police found Lanza injured and transported him to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. His common-law wife is currently in police custody for questioning, and authorities are seeking her two brothers for further investigation.
