By Belize Live News Staff: Lieutenant Commander Jasmine Bellini of the Belize Coast Guard has made history by earning a Master of Science Degree in Maritime Affairs from the prestigious World Maritime University in Malmö, Sweden. Demonstrating exemplary performance throughout her studies, Bellini was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for academic excellence and was recognized as the top academic student in the Maritime Education and Training specialization.
Bellini’s accomplishments also include receiving the Kalmar Award for Role Models, a recognition granted by the university to students who demonstrate leadership and outstanding contributions to their fields. Her achievement highlights the growing presence of Belizean professionals excelling on the international stage and furthering their expertise to bring back to Belize.
Bellini’s dedication and success are expected to contribute positively to Belize’s maritime operations, especially in areas of maritime education and training, where her knowledge and skills will be invaluable.
