By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a second a motorcycle accident that claimed the life of 28 year old Elias Cowo from San Felipe Village, Orange Walk District. The incident occurred last night near the Shipyard junction which is between the villages of August Pine Ridge and San Felipe. Reports indicate that the collision took place between a motorcycle and a bicycle, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist.
According to reports, an intoxicated man was riding his bicycle on his way home when Elias collided with him causing the accident. Emergency response teams arrived at the scene to find the motorcyclist lying motionless on the pavement.
Despite 911’s response to the scene, Elias passed away on his way to the hospital. Police are currently working to gather more details about the circumstances surrounding the accident.
