During his stay, Minister Lin engaged in meaningful discussions with Belize’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Education, Culture, Science, and Technology, Francis Fonseca, highlighting ongoing collaborative projects and shared goals.
In their meeting, both ministers celebrated the enduring partnership that has fostered economic growth, cultural exchange, and development initiatives. Minister Fonseca expressed appreciation for Taiwan’s instrumental role in establishing a new hospital in San Pedro, which will enhance healthcare access for local residents and international visitors alike. Additionally, Minister Lin announced Taiwan’s support for the reconstruction of the Belcan Bridge in Belize City, responding to a request by Prime Minister John Briceño to improve vital infrastructure for Belizean communities.
The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen ties, focusing on projects aimed at reducing poverty, generating economic opportunities, and improving the overall well-being of both nations’ citizens.
