By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans should prepare for another day of wet weather as moist and unstable conditions continue to linger across the country. The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued a forecast calling for mostly cloudy skies with showers, periods of rain, and isolated thunderstorms.
These weather patterns are expected to primarily impact northern and coastal areas throughout the morning, shifting towards central and inland regions in the afternoon. While shower activity is predicted to decrease by nightfall, there’s a chance of rain returning to coastal areas later tonight. Temperatures will remain warm, with highs in the mid-80s Fahrenheit along the coast and inland.
Looking ahead, Wednesday and Wednesday night will see a continuation of cloudy conditions with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Inland areas should expect increased activity Wednesday afternoon, while northern and coastal areas may experience more rain Wednesday night.
In the tropics, while no cyclone formation is anticipated in the immediate future, a broad area of low pressure is being monitored in the southwestern Caribbean Sea. Forecasters are giving this system a medium chance of development over the next seven days. Belizeans are encouraged to stay informed about weather updates and any potential tropical developments.
