By Belize Live News Staff: Early on Friday morning, two daring robbers disguised in police-type clothing held up the Uno Gas Station on Central American Boulevard, escaping with a significant amount of cash. The incident occurred at 5:30 a.m., as the station manager was preparing to open.
The suspects, wearing dark jackets with “police” on the back, approached the manager and forced him at gunpoint into the station’s office, demanding he open the safe. They made off with cash, the manager’s personal firearm, and the station’s surveillance hard drive. The robbers fled the scene on a motorcycle, heading in the direction of Cemetery Road.
Police are investigating the case, but no arrests had been made. Commissioner Chester Williams stated that authorities are following leads and hope to provide updates soon.
