By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Benque Viejo have made a significant discovery, seizing an M4 Carbine rifle with no serial number in the Chapel Hill area. The weapon was hidden within high bushes in an empty lot, raising concerns about its intended use.
Alongside the rifle, officers found one loaded extended 5.56 plastic magazine, two metal 5.56 magazines, and a black extended 5.56 automatic plastic magazine, all containing a total of 40 live rounds.
Police are continuing their investigation into how the rifle came to be hidden in the area, and efforts are underway to trace its origin.
