By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating the murder of 35-year-old Floyd Hyde, a Belize City laborer, who was fatally stabbed on Wednesday evening, October 9, on Reggae Street.
Authorities responded to a distress call at around 7:18 p.m. and found Hyde’s lifeless body in a yard with multiple stab wounds. According to initial investigations, Hyde left his home at around 6:50 p.m. to visit a nearby store. However, at approximately 7:06 p.m., a family member heard a commotion in the yard and alerted the police.
Shortly after, another family member discovered Hyde’s body. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing as police work to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack.
