Over $7,000 stolen in daring daylight robbery on delivery truck

Vendor robbed at gunpoint in front of husband at Pound Yard Market

By Belize Live News Staff: Belmopan was the scene of a bold and well-coordinated armed robbery on Wednesday morning, targeting a Bowen and Bowen delivery truck. According to reports, 20-year-old Jacob Francis, the driver, and a sideman were ambushed at around 10:45 a.m. while on George Price Boulevard.

The criminals blocked the truck’s path with a black Nissan Rogue, and two armed men exited the vehicle, one wielding a 9mm pistol. They demanded money and made off with over $7,000 in cash, two cellphones, and other personal items. Despite police efforts and surveillance footage under review, the perpetrators remain unidentified.
