By Belize Live News Staff: Lopez Pharmacy on Ring Road in Belmopan became the target of a brazen midday armed robbery on Wednesday. At approximately 12:30 p.m., two men dressed in dark clothing and wearing helmets with sunglasses entered the establishment, armed with what appeared to be 9mm pistols.
The assailants threatened the 26-year-old pharmacist and her two co-workers, making off with a few hundred dollars in cash. The robbers fled on a black scooter. Police arrived swiftly, processed the scene, and detained three individuals for questioning regarding the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
