Missing Hattieville man, George Oshon, found safe

By Belize Live News Staff: HATTIEVILLE, Belize – George Oshon, the 82-year-old Belizean who was reported missing earlier this week, has been found safe. Oshon, a resident of Hattieville Village in the Belize District, was last seen near J Mall on the George Price Highway on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

The elderly man, who is of Creole descent, was wearing a long-sleeve camouflage jacket and long green trousers when he disappeared. Family members and authorities immediately issued a public appeal for information regarding his whereabouts, sparking a community-wide effort to locate him.

Thanks to the assistance of the public and police, Oshon was located safely. Authorities have not yet provided further details regarding his condition or where he was found.

Crime Stoppers Belize and the Belize Police Department expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the search efforts and reminded the public to stay vigilant in cases of missing persons.
