Man fatally stabbed in Belize City following end of State of Emergency

By Belize Live News Staff: A man identified as Floyd Hyde was fatally stabbed on Reggae Street in Belize City late on Wednesday, marking the first murder in the area since the recent conclusion of a state of emergency.

Authorities confirmed Hyde’s identity and said investigations were underway to determine the motive and identify any suspects. No further details have been provided regarding arrests or potential leads.

The incident has raised concerns about the resurgence of violence following the temporary drop in crime rates during the state of emergency.
