By Belize Live News Staff: A mix of sunshine and showers is on tap for Belize today as moist and unstable conditions prevail across the country. Expect cloudy spells with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms developing throughout the day, especially along the coast and in southern regions. Despite the rain, temperatures will climb, reaching a high of 95°F inland while coastal areas enjoy a slightly milder 90°F.
While Belize experiences this unsettled weather, three hurricanes are being monitored in the Atlantic. Hurricane Leslie, currently far west of the Cabo Verde Islands, poses no immediate threat. Similarly, Hurricane Kirk, located west-northwest of the Azores, is tracking northeast and away from land. Of greater interest is Hurricane Milton, a powerful Category 3 hurricane with winds of 125 mph, situated southwest of Florida and moving east-southeast. While Milton is not expected to directly impact Belize, its path is being closely monitored.
Looking ahead, Tuesday and Tuesday night promise a break from the rain with fair and warm weather and only isolated showers expected. Sea conditions today will be calm with light winds and small waves, perfect for those venturing out on the water.
