By Belize Live News Staff: A beautiful mix of sunshine and clouds greets Belizeans this morning, promising a mostly fair day with some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. The National Meteorological Service says these showers are most likely to develop over inland areas this afternoon before drifting towards the south and offshore areas tonight.
If you’re heading to the coast today, expect highs around 89°F (32°C). Inland, temperatures will climb a bit higher to around 92°F (33°C), while those in the hills will enjoy a cooler 80°F (27°C). Seas are calm with light winds and small waves, perfect for a boat trip or a swim.
Out in the Atlantic, Hurricane Leslie is being monitored but poses no threat to Belize. The same goes for Tropical Storm Milton, which is currently far south of Florida. Hurricane Kirk is also on the radar, but it’s moving away from the Azores and not expected to affect Belize.
As we head into Monday, expect more of the same: a mix of sun and clouds with a few showers and thunderstorms possible, mainly in the north and inland during the day, then shifting to the south and coast overnight.
