By Belize Live News Staff: A 26-year-old woman was abducted at gunpoint in Belize City after leaving her grandfather’s house on Faber’s Road Extension late on Saturday night. The woman had hailed a taxi around 11:30 PM when the driver turned on her, holding her at gunpoint. She was taken to a house where she was confined and assaulted.
Despite being held captive for several hours, the victim managed to escape early Sunday morning and made her way to the police station to report the crime. No arrests have been made yet, and authorities are searching for the suspect. The investigation is ongoing as police gather evidence to bring the assailant to justice.
