By Belize Live News Staff: A delivery crew in Belize City fell victim to an armed robbery on Saturday, September 28th, 2024. The incident occurred in the Lake Independence area while the crew was dropping off a barrel. According to police reports, the truck was approached by two armed men on bicycles, who threatened the victims and took an undisclosed amount of cash and personal items, including cellphones.
ACP Hilberto Romero of the OCED shared details of the event, saying, “Upon arrival, the delivery team was confronted by two men who held them at gunpoint. The assailants proceeded to rob them before escaping on bicycles down Berry Street.”
Police are seeking two suspects connected to this robbery. No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.
