By Belize Live News Staff: Authorities in Belize are investigating another home invasion in the Mountain Pine Ridge area, which occurred around 11:30 PM on Tuesday night. According to reports, six armed men broke into the residence of Ralph Pilley at Mile 6 on the Mountain Pine Ridge Road, demanding money and valuables.
The assailants, who were armed with rifles, tied up Pilley before proceeding to steal several items, including cell phones, jewelry, a laptop, cash, and Pilley’s wallet containing credit cards. The men also stole two vehicles from the property: a white 2016 Subaru SUV and a 2021 Jeep Gladiator.
Police are currently investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made. This marks the second home invasion in the area this month.
Earlier in September, a similar incident was reported at the residence of 75-year-old American Mary Ann Baker, who lives at Mile 6 on Chiquibul Road. During that attack, three men armed with firearms, including a rifle, forced their way into Baker’s home after she answered a knock on the door. The assailants, wearing ski masks, gun-butted her, tied her up with duct tape, and stole various items from her home.
Police have not yet confirmed whether the two incidents are connected. Investigations are ongoing.
