Charges dropped in shocking Kings Park murder case

By Belize Live News Staff: On Thursday in Belize City, murder charges were dropped against Tyrike Supal, the man accused of killing 30-year-old taxi driver Nigel Williams back in March.

The incident shocked the Kings Park community when Williams was shot while driving on St. Peter Street. After being wounded, Williams managed to escape the vehicle but collapsed and died at the corner of St. Thomas and St. Joseph Streets.

Supal, who had spent five months on remand, appeared in court unrepresented when the charges were dismissed. His legal team had initially requested the prosecution to disclose evidence, but it was revealed that the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) directed the charges to be dropped. No explanation for the dismissal was provided by the court.
