Belize City man dies after stabbing incident; More details emerge

By Belize Live News Staff: A Belize City man has died following a stabbing incident on Belize Corozal Road in Orange Walk Town, authorities said.

The victim, Alwin Collin Arnold, a 23-year-old Belizean laborer, was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital (NRH) at approximately 9:20 p.m. on September 21, 2024, after sustaining a stab wound to the abdomen. Investigations revealed that Arnold got into an argument with another individual, described as of Mestizo descent, who pulled out a black-handled knife and stabbed him. The assailant fled the scene.

Despite medical attention, Arnold passed away at 10:15 p.m. Authorities are continuing to investigate, and several witnesses were reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time.

The body is awaiting a post-mortem examination at the NRH morgue.
