Flour shortage reported in western Belize and Belize City

By Belize Live News Staff: Reports of a flour shortage in stores across Western Belize and Belize City are circulating on social media, sparking concerns among residents and food vendors.

Several food vendors have told Belize Live News that grocery stores are rationing flour sales, restricting the amount customers can buy.

One vendor said she was unable to sell her popular burritos because of the limited flour supply. The grocery store only allowed her to purchase 5lbs, insufficient for her business needs.

The shortage has raised concerns about potential price increases and the availability of flour-based products in the near future.
