By Belize Live News Staff: A tragic traffic accident has claimed the life of an elderly woman this morning near Mile 14 on the George Price Highway.
Reports indicate that the woman was a passenger in a vehicle that lost control and overturned on the highway. The driver of the vehicle is also reported to have sustained injuries.
Emergency responders were called to the scene and transported both individuals to the nearest medical facility. However, the elderly woman succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.
