By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect mostly fair weather today as sunny skies and light cloud cover will prevail throughout the day. Tonight, skies will remain clear to partly cloudy with only isolated showers or thunderstorms expected, mainly in the southern regions of the country.
Winds will blow lightly from the east to southeast at speeds between 5 to 15 knots. The sea state is expected to be calm, with slight waves reaching heights of 1 to 3 feet. Coastal temperatures will peak around 91°F during the day and drop to 83°F overnight. Inland areas will see highs of 95°F and lows around 74°F. In the hills, expect cooler conditions with highs reaching 80°F and lows of 68°F.
In the tropics, Tropical Depression Seven has formed, located 600 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands, with maximum winds of 35 mph. Currently, the system is moving west-northwest at 17 mph, but poses no immediate threat to Belize.
Looking ahead, weather conditions are expected to remain the same tomorrow and into the night, with fair skies continuing.
Today’s low tide will be at 12:04 PM and 10:14 PM, while the high tide is expected at 6:47 PM. Tomorrow, the first high tide will be at 4:56 AM. Sunrise is set for 5:40 AM, with sunset following at 5:56 PM. The moon will rise at 1:46 PM today and set at 12:53 AM tomorrow.
