By Belize Live News Staff: Police are on high alert and searching for Edwin David Marin, who is wanted in connection with the brutal double murder of Natasha Clarke and Deysha Hill on Monday morning, September 9, 2024, in Corozal Town.
According to police reports, the fatal incident occurred after a heated argument between Marin and the two victims. Hill, who shares a child with Marin, was allegedly a key figure in the confrontation. Marin reportedly pulled out a firearm during the altercation and opened fire, killing both Clarke and Hill before fleeing the scene. The shooting took place on Second Street North.
Authorities have revealed that Marin has a history of violence. He was previously charged in a similar violent incident five years ago. However, details regarding his release from prison have not been disclosed. Police are now urgently seeking Marin, whom they consider armed and dangerous.
Residents of the Corozal District and surrounding areas are urged to be vigilant and to report any sightings of Marin immediately.
