While you can enjoy mostly clear skies and a few fluffy clouds today, keep in mind that isolated showers or thunderstorms could pop up. As night falls, the weather will shift. Expect increasing cloud cover and the chance of showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the southern and central regions. These showers are likely to spread to most areas as the night goes on.
Mariners, take note: seas will be moderate with waves reaching 4-6 feet, and winds will blow from the east-southeast at 10-20 knots.
Temperatures today will offer a mix depending on your location. Coastal areas will see highs near 88°F (31°C) and lows of 78°F (26°C). Inland residents can expect warmer conditions, with highs reaching 91°F (33°C) and lows around 72°F (22°C). One is located in the central tropical Atlantic and has a medium chance of becoming a tropical depression within the next 48 hours. Another system in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression in the same time frame.
Looking ahead to Monday, it will be a cloudier day with lingering showers and isolated thunderstorms. These will primarily affect the north in the morning and inland areas in the afternoon. The activity will become more scattered but could redevelop over the south on Monday night.
