By Belize Live News Staff: Good morning, Belize! It’s looking like a mixed bag of weather today, folks. We’re seeing a bit of a shift as things get less humid, but don’t put away those umbrellas just yet. Expect a blend of sunshine and clouds throughout the day, with some isolated showers and thunderstorms popping up, especially inland this afternoon. If you’re heading out to the coast or down south, keep an eye on the sky tonight as showers are more likely in those areas.
Our sailors and fishermen can breathe easy, as marine conditions remain favorable. Expect light chop to choppy seas with waves between 2 to 5 feet. Winds will be coming from the east to southeast at a gentle 5 to 15 knots.
Temperature-wise, it’s the usual story. Coast dwellers will enjoy highs near 88°F and lows around 80°F. Inland folks, be prepared for a bit more heat with highs reaching 91°F and lows around 74°F. If you’re up in the hills, things will be a bit milder with highs near 79°F and lows dipping to 67°F.
The tropics remain calm for now, with no tropical cyclone formation expected in our neck of the woods over the next 48 hours.
As we look ahead to Sunday, expect more of the same: partly cloudy to cloudy skies with those pesky isolated showers and thunderstorms lingering. The chance of rain picks up a bit Sunday night, so keep those raincoats handy.
